PTS, Phobias and NLP
After serving in the Army as a Medic, then as a Firefighter and Rescue Diver, it came to my attention that much of what I had experienced had been suppressed, and that I was experiencing effects of Post Traumatic Stress. Since becoming a practitioner of Transformational NLP, I have had great success in helping others from different backgrounds, deal with the effects of Post Traumatic Stress. I have been able to do this utilizing the methods and processes that have given me so much personal relief.
For those dealing with the effects of PTS, when working with me, it is not necessary to talk about the events that plague you, unless you would like to. People experiencing the effects of Post Traumatic Stress are often triggered by discussing these experiences, which is often exactly what they want to be rid of. We cannot “un-see” the things we have seen, but we don’t have to live the emotional pain of those experiences day after day. In the case of a specific incident, we can disassociate you from the emotional trauma, triggered by the sensory memory of that experience.
Phobias similarly can be addressed in a session.
“In the days and weeks that have followed each of my sessions, I’ve been aware of subtle changes in how I interface with the world. I find myself responding to people and to situations in ways that differ from the patterns I have grown into over the years. Without needing to make an effort, both my thoughts and my behavior have become more congruent with the life I want to have. This is a process that is still unfolding for me, but in the three sessions I have had with Mick, I achieved changes in myself that far surpass even what I thought was possible.”
